Winter 1942 in 20mm on the Eastern Front.

Winter 1942 in 20mm on the Eastern Front. Our winter mini campaign is under way with five one night battles on the Rzhev front.
Day 3 has now been added.

Eighteen foot winter battle.

The terrain construction was easy, here is how we built the eighteen foot table top display;
This terrain board is only white bed sheets over shaped hills, then with the sculptured water effect tiles. Then place the trees and bushes in position. Add the buildings, and cover in spray snow.

The first scenario is under way, with the forty three German defenders holding a land bridge village between two lakes. During the rest of the year the terrain is marsh and still water, but during a few brief weeks it is frozen enough for even tanks to cross.
